Meet Aziz: Your Amazigh Artist Guide
Your host is Aziz, a local Amazigh artist renowned for his gentle and welcoming approach. He opens his personal studio to you, creating a serene and inspiring atmosphere where you can fully relax and express yourself. He will assist and teach you his hand-building pottery and sculpture techniques, guiding you through the intuitive process of shaping the clay.
Your Creative Pottery Workshop: Two Paths to a Masterpiece
Your journey begins with a 2-hour session dedicated to creation. You will be provided with 1kg of clay and all the necessary tools to model, shape, and sculpt your piece, be it a small pot, a bowl, or a sculpture. From there, you can choose how to complete your artistic adventure.
Option 1: Clay Creation & Pottery Workshop (One 2-hour session)
This is a complete experience in itself. You will spend your time fully immersed in the creation process. After the workshop, your piece will need about a day to dry, after which you can take it with you as a beautiful, natural terracotta-style souvenir.
Option 2: Pottery & Natural Pigments Workshop (Two 2-hour sessions over 2 days)
For a deeper immersion, return to the studio the next day to bring your creation to life with color. You will learn to paint your now-dry pottery piece using natural pigments sourced from the minerals and plants of the Moroccan environment. Discover how to use these traditional colors to add an exquisite and personal design to your work.
