About Our Experiences & Philosophy
Our approach is simple: we connect you to the true heart of Morocco. Unlike large group tours, our adventures are private or in very small groups. This allows us to take you far off the beaten path, foster sincere human connections, and avoid the “mass tourism” effect. With us, there are no forced shopping stops or rigid schedules. You share authentic moments with passionate local artisans, families, and guides. We are a legally registered company in Morocco and are committed to compensating our partners fairly and ethically. Choosing Morocco Unfiltered means opting for a deeper, more personal, and more responsible discovery.
We build bridges between travelers and the authentic soul of Morocco. We want to share the beauty, cultural richness, and incredible hospitality of our country. We do this by designing immersive experiences that directly support and empower local communities. We believe in a tourism that respects traditions, values know-how, and creates memories based on sharing and human connection.
Absolutely! Most of our experiences are a joy to share as a family. A pottery or cooking workshop, a street art session, or a nature walk are magical moments to share across generations. Minors simply need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Feel free to contact us so we can recommend the most suitable adventures for your children’s ages.
Booking & Payment
To guarantee our commitments to our local partners, we require full payment at the time of booking. We offer several simple and secure options:
- Online Transfer Platforms (Western Union, Wise, Remitly, etc.): This is often the easiest, fastest, and cheapest option. These services offer excellent exchange rates and very low fees. We will guide you through the process at the time of booking.
International Bank Transfer: This is a reliable option. Please be aware that banks may charge significant fees. To ensure we receive the full amount, it’s important to instruct your bank that all fees are at your expense.
PayPal: If other options are not suitable, we can send you a PayPal payment request. Please note that PayPal charges a transaction fee of about 5%, which we will need to add to the total amount of your booking.
We used to accept on-site payments, but unfortunately, last-minute cancellations were too frequent. To ensure a fair and respectful commitment to our partners—the guides, artisans, and families who prepare for your visit and incur costs—we now require full payment in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
For logistical reasons and to simplify coordination with our many partners, we prefer a single payment at the time of booking. However, if you are booking several months in advance for a significant amount, payment in installments can be considered. Please feel free to ask us about it.
Of course. Morocco Unfiltered is a legally registered company (SARL) in Morocco. We can provide you with an invoice upon request at the time of your booking. Our prices are displayed inclusive of all taxes (VAT), so there are no unpleasant surprises.
Preparing for Your Trip
Yes, we highly recommend it. Good travel insurance will cover you in case of unforeseen events (cancellation, health issues, etc.) and will allow you to travel with peace of mind. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more details.
Not a problem at all. Morocco offers wonderful vegetarian options. Simply inform us of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements (vegetarian, etc.) at the time of booking. Our team and partners will make the necessary arrangements to accommodate you.
Tipping is part of the service culture in Morocco and represents an important additional income for many people. It is never mandatory but always greatly appreciated if you are satisfied with the service. Here are some general guidelines:
Guide or activity provider: 50 to 100 Dirhams for couple or a family, 150 to 200 Dirhams for a group.
Restaurant: About 5% to 10% of the bill.
Small services (porter, etc.): 5 to 20 Dirhams.
We have created a comprehensive Travel Guide and a dedicated Blog Article for you on our website! In it, you’ll find a wealth of information on the best times to travel, tips on what to wear, basic phrases in Darija (Moroccan Arabic), and much more. It’s your ideal resource for preparing for your adventure.
Cancellations & Changes
We invite you to notify us as soon as possible if your plans change. Our policy is as follows:
Cancellation more than 10 days before the experience: We will offer you a reschedule or a full refund (minus any bank fees).
Cancellation less than 10 days before: To ensure a fair and respectful commitment to our partners—the guides, artisans, and families who prepare for your visit and incur costs— no rescheduling, credit, or refund will be possible.
See our Terms & Conditions.
In case of risk due to weather conditions, organizational reasons, or any other factors that may jeopardize your safety, we may need to modify or cancel your activity (this is an extremely rare event). You will be directly informed in advance in such cases. You would be notified immediately and given the choice of a full refund or rescheduling the activity.
